Key Safety & Compliance Features

• Enclosed Safety Cage: Waist-high guardrail extensions can be added to surround the standing deck, satisfying WHS 360-degree containment requirements for extended tasks at height.
• AS/NZS 1892.1 Certified: Built and tested in full compliance with Australian Standards for portable metal ladders, guaranteeing site-compliant safety and reliability.
• Spring-Loaded Castor Kits: Smooth-rolling wheel kits can be added to compatible models for fast relocation across warehouse aisles, retracting smoothly under operator weight when stepped on.
• Checker-Plate Deck & Kickplates: Large anti-slip aluminium standing platform equipped with raised border kickplates to prevent tools or hardware from sliding off the edge.
• Heavy-Duty Box-Section Stiles: Full-length structural cross-bracing maintains rigidity under heavy commercial use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do WHS guidelines prefer platform step ladders over standard A-frame step ladders for warehouse work?

Standard A-frame ladders require operators to maintain three points of contact, restricting them to one-handed work. Platform step ladders feature full perimeter guardrails and a large flat deck, satisfying WHS height regulations while enabling workers to use both hands safely for tools and stock.

How do I choose between a 150kg Industrial and a 170kg+ Heavy-Duty load rating?

A 150kg Industrial rating is the baseline requirement for commercial worksites, accommodating a worker plus standard hand tools. If your tasks involve heavy tool belts, equipment, or heavy stock picking, select a 160kg or 170kg+ Heavy-Duty model for extra structural tolerance.

Can aluminium platform ladders be used near electrical installations?

No. Aluminium is a metallic conductor of electricity. If your facility or site involves live electrical maintenance, solar servicing, or working near overhead power infrastructure, choose a non-conductive fibreglass platform ladder instead.
